So the (admittedly rushed) release of The Anthem (prototype) appears to be delayed due to a miscommunication with my distributor.

I had a much more lengthy post planned, but I've decided to hold off on that since I'm rushing this new track off to distribute. I posted this song to TikTok earlier this week, and I was originally going to do some more work on it before publishing (I still may at some point), but due to demand (and it getting stuck in everyone's head) I'm pushing it out to streaming services as quickly as possible.

I've always been bad about documenting my process. Weirdly, the fact that I've gone silent the past few days was a good sign, because i *have* been working.

I've been having trouble writing new material lately.
I haven't written a new song or lyrics since about August, and I'm not even sure that project is going anywhere. It's a pretty basic punk-protest song and it may just be too fast for me to play drums on (plus i've never been 100% happy with the lyrics) 😅

I'm actually literally having trouble typing today. I'm not sure why. Yesterday was rough — even though on the whole the day was a "win" for me, it was still emotionally exhausting. I don't know if I've written about it here, but it was the day of the renewal hearing for the restraining order against my ex. One year and two weeks after the first order.
Am I posting too much?
In the excitement since having you all subscribe, I felt like it would be good to provide some content, since you know, you're paying for it 🤣
It also strikes me, it could be too much. So, should I keep posting as often as I can, or step it back?
